Dear Friends and Family,
We are very happy to Announce Fool’s Paradise “The birth of Aveyron”. Fool’s will be much more than ever before. After the great time at Fuego De Los Muertos in the fall. We have grown in a strange way. We have become better, and smaller. Fool’s this year will be much the same as last year in numbers, but the quality and effort put into this Paradise will be much more. Camps are the reason for this. The RLD will be the biggest camp at Fool’s, but Tiki Fuckos , Bat Country, Irei Oasis and City Hix will be adding more. Our neighbor EON from 20 miles away, will be moving to the Village for Fool’s.
Arrival can be anytime after the sun comes up on Thursday the 17th. We will spend the first day and a half prepping and building for Fool’s. Camp areas will be marked off, and the greeters will give you a map and info. The gallery will be a big open area for fire, art, performance and will be walled by camps.
At one end will be the video window. Smoke blower, and Da Hustla will be playing video and visual art. On the far side of the Gallery will be Aveyron. A center open tent, 80ft in the round. RLD and bat country will hold court to Aveyron.
You get the idea.
Sound:
Each camp has their own DJ’s, and I hope we all get a chance to hear them all. Brutus is orchestrating the sound for fool’s. Meaning: he will talk with you about time for your camp to turn up your sound. With so many great DJ’s, it would be a waste to compete. Camp leads should get with Brutus about picking a time to become the main point of entertainment at Fool’s. Would your DJ like to play a set in Aveyron? Brutus has the line up for Aveyron. With so many talented people, please help Brutus and tell him when you would like to pull everyone into your camp or if your DJ would like to play the main stage of Aveyron.
Saturday night at 4:00 a.m. the sound will be turned off and drums will pound. If you have an acoustic instrument please grab it and join in. fire at dawn is truly amazing.
Fire:
We have a fire permit so fire is a GO! You can spin fire at will, so have fun. We will have a bone Fire in the Gallery at night.
An all camps dinner served at sunset (6:30) on Saturday the 19th. Every camp should setup in the gallery (see layout). You can bring whatever cooking equipment you need. Grab a table or two and then walk around and meet new people by cooking, eating and having a drink with them. Toast each other and watch the moon rise at 7:00pm.
An Art fair on Sunday that will be open to the public. Sales of your art is encouraged, and we are very excited to see what you make or have for the community to purchase. The Village will have no oversight or approval. We are very excited about this, and hope it allows you to showcase your art.
